Say the name Gucci Westman and anyone in the beauty industry will immediately know who you're talking about. With over 20 years under her belt as a professional and editorial makeup artist, Westman is well known and respected amongst celebrities and beauty veterans alike. Of the brand's inception, Westman says she sought to fill a gap in the clean beauty market. "I noticed a blank space in the market for something that was clean, skin-nourishing, luxurious, and performance-driven, too," says Westman. "It felt like you could find something 'natural' or something innovative, but not necessarily both. We're bridging that gap, delivering makeup that can do more than just enhance out of a passionate belief that we all deserve more from our cosmetics." 

A transparent process is important to Westman Atelier, which is why so much time is spent evaluating ingredients (to ensure that they're safe and aligned with the most up-to-date research). Acknowledging that makeup needs to perform well, the formulas are as safe as they can be, yet when it's best practice to use any kind of synthetics, it's imperative they are thoroughly researched and safely vetted. "We work with an independent clean chemistry advisor on every product from start to finish, and all of our formulas contain actives at efficacy levels to replenish and soothe the skin."
