• She has immersed herself in beauty while working as a beauty advisor at Ulta Beauty and Fragrances Inc.

Experience

Writing has always been a part of Janiah's life. She discovered that she felt at home with journalism after working with her high school's journalism and literary team. However, it wasn't until her sophomore year of college that she began to lean into that passion fully. With a desire to merge her writing and beauty interests, Janiah decided to launch her freelance beauty writing career in 2022. Byrdie is among the first beauty publications she's contributed to.

Education

Janiah graduated from Georgia State University in December of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. She also minored in Spanish.
