Ashley Rubell is an editorial and celebrity hair stylist, and beauty writer. Originally from Los Angeles and now residing in Brooklyn, Ashley has been doing hair since 2008. She began writing beauty articles while still assisting other hair stylists to help document and share the insider knowledge she was gaining behind the scenes at major runway shows, photoshoots and red carpet events. After moving to NY to advance her career, she became one of the first contributing writers to Jen Atkin's site, Mane Addicts. Now she's focused on a personal writing project entitled Blank to Beauty which shares the stories of various beauty experts as they "fill in the blank" with the unique and indirect paths taken to reach their own versions of success within the beauty industry.

When she's not styling, cutting, or writing, Ashley spends her free time reading, traveling, obsessing over interior design, and learning what it means to be a cool mom.
